    Superbowl Customs aircraft

CBP is operating from ISP in support of the Superbowl. At least two Blackhawks (UH-60M) and two Citations are operating from the Army National Guard ramp.

Original story had them and 2 F-16s staying at FRG. Maybe the security and facilities were better there.
Saw a video on the "FRG Notable Visitors" thread of 14 Army helicopters flying over the Hudson and heading into NJ yesterday. They are staying at Caldwell in NJ and doing the Fly Over Sunday night!!

I was in North Bergen, NJ 2 days ago shooting trains and saw loads of Blackhawks going back-and for the between the Stadium and some eastern location. Also saw a few of the gold chatline on black paint Blackhawks as well. This was going on constantly - hovering in the air and maneuvers etc in groups of 2 or 3.

They are supposed to have a gaggle of helicopters of various types - 12 to 14 Blackhawks, Apaches, and one or two others - performing the flyover following the National Anthem. That may be what you saw flying near the stadium the past couple of days, Senga.

CNN has been showing a clip of a reporter on TV talking to one of the black/gold stripe helicopter pilots and going up for a ride, and they show the practice flyover from the air, but I can't find that particular video on their site?

Wow, so cool and must be LOUD!!! Must have freaked out residents of NJ who had no idea what was going on!! Bet 911 got a few calls.
The gold/black Blackhawks are the Custom/Border Patrol aircraft that along with the F-16s are tasked with aerial security for the event!! NJSPD and NYPD Aviation probably in the mix there!! I know the last few days in Manhattan I've seen the NYPD 412s including their Command & Control copter flying all around Manhattan.

FOX did a terrible job shooting the flyover.
Here's a video link of flyover as seen from one of the 101st CAB helicopters above Metlife Stadium

They were dark colored helicopters at night - I think you saw all you were going to see with the shot of the nav lights flying over. Really, what were people expecting?

That's exactly why FOX should've used an aerial shot of the flyover from the Bud Light Helicopter cam just like they did with the halftime fireworks. FYI- Newsday posted a nice aerial shot of the flyover from above in the paper today, and I'm sure it's posted on their website also

They actually had a nice angle they just cut away too quickly!! And it looked like they were flying pretty low also!!
