Development of New Nikon D4S Announced at CES

Glad I held off on upgrading my D3 to the D4... now let's see how long I have to wait to get my hands on one.

No specs listed? And whose idea was it to announce a camera that isn't even fully developed yet??? Sounds like there are jobs on the line in Nikon marketing because this is the infamous 'much ado about nothing' lol

And where is the D400 for petes sake!!!

For now I am content with my D4 and D7100 bodies, and though I wish the buffer was a little better on the D7100. One site showed the D4S as being 16MB.

D400 may be announced at Photokina in the fall... but it may be likely the Dx line will take up the slack with the D800 filling in the other end. There may be no room for a Dxxx class camera like the D100/D200/D300 given that the D7100 is every bit as much as a D300 sans the buffer capacity.

I've lost all hope in seeing a 7D Mark II and a D400. Both Canon and Nikon are waiting for the other to show their cards.

But this means that the original D3 will now be even cheaper, so maybe I'll get one now.
