    AA / US Heritage aircraft

Jsut found this quote in this story, http://airchive.com/blog/2013/12/16/...s-vote-livery/ where American is letting the employees vote to keep the current tail design or revert to the old AA logo, but at the bottom of the story is "So, where does American go from here? The employees of the merged airline will vote, and the party tail may be history. In addition, there is finally some clarity on the “heritage” aircraft liveries. “Even as we look to the future, we want to embrace our history because we are proud of it,” said Parker. “We will continue that tradition at American, including introducing a TWA aircraft in the future and keeping a US Airways livery aircraft. That also means we will keep a heritage American livery in the fleet.” Voting closes Thursday, Jan. 2 at noon Central Time, so you better find an American Airlines or US Airways employee to bother and try to sway their

The question is Which TWA livery do they go with?

He didn't specifically say whether or not PSA, Allegheny, et al are staying, but the US Airways PR had a photo of PSA, so hopefully all they do is write "American" on them (without destroying the tail).

I hope they also create a "USAir" retro 738, since those can be polished.

Any TWA livery with American Airlines titles would be an abomination.

I tend to agree, I feel like Pan Am and TWA should be left in the past...

That wouldn't be that out of place as TWA had A 318's on order

He said that the retro schemes are staying, therefore the US retro schemes would stay. All the would do is change US Airways to American.

If United ever did Heritage paint, they'd have to use almost the whole fleet: Continental, Capital, Frontier Airlines, Arizona Airways, Central Airlines, Challenger Airlines, Monarch Airlines, Texas International Airlines, National Air Transport, Pacific Air Transport.

    Smile Great News !

This would be great if AAL keeps the retro liveries. So we New Yorkers may yet see Smiley Jack PSA A319 back at LGA Kids' Day. Keep us posted. I feared that Jack would be a-smilin' no more.
