Aerolineas Argentinas comes back to JFK with A330

    Greetings,
Aerolineas Argentinas (ARG) restarted their service back into JFK this morning with the A330.
As with my usual luck or the short straw unexpected clouds came out of nowhere when the plane landed and crapped out my shots. A sudden runway change made a usual shot chaotic.
Just like old times with flight ARG1300/ARG1301

    MANNY yes,
I was sitting fat dumb and happy (not really) and expecting expecting 31R and then the runway change came. Then right after that he checked in and went for 22L. All the while the cloud mass formed. I was not happy. Oh well glad to get it out of the way.

Of course! I had to scramble from Panera to the frozen NWP, but I made it. Also snagged the AA A321T

Ah, the famous "clouds-out-of-nowhere" situation. Although Cary didn't tell me he was going to be around so not sure how that could have happened!

Yea sure seems one can have a week of nothing but sun and then right when one decides to go out the clouds or precipitation shows up. I hope they bring the Sky Team A340 in sometime. Senga

It's true, it always seems to cloud-up during something special. I recall a total lunar eclipse ruined by clouds while the previous and next days were cloud-free. Regarding runway problems, how many times did I take a taxi to Rwy 22L approach at JFK in the 80's and 90's to spot the Concorde, and the controller sends the Concorde to arrive on 22R? So I walk down Rockaway Blvd to the Rwy 22R approach and the 2nd aircraft arrives on 22L ! It's always been a crap shoot; maybe that's part of the "fun"? Glad Aerolineas has returned; wish Varig of Brazil would return but I think it's defunct. They had B747s as well as DC-10s.
