    Don't they currently operate 767's on this route? Will those be going away?

    Short answer...yes. The 767-200's are not long for this world.

    B767-200's will be retired in the first quarter of next year.

    According to airlineroute.net, he final 767-200 operation on JFK-LAX is set for May 14th. JFK-MIA ends May 7th and JFK-SFO ends March 31st.

    As much as I love new aircraft, twin aisles are a bit more comfortable in the seat width department in my opinion. I have only flown 767s on Delta and United/Continental so not sure if the AA interiors were worse. I am happy for the business and first customers but I ride in the back unless I can freely upgrade to the front so it means nothing to me the new A321s (as a pax) LOL
