    Hamburg At Night

    Hey friends!

For more than two years I've planned it from time to time but I've never managed it.
A nightshot tour through Hamburg. But last week I finally made it! I've spent three evenings/nights in the city to take some pictures that I not want to wihhold.

I started at 'Eurokai' where containership 'Xin Beijing' just arrived

Next stop: 'Köhlbrand-Bridge' (One of just two ways to cross river 'Elbe' by car)

A water castle in the 'Speicherstadt' ('Storehouse City')

'Zollkanal' ('Customs channel') with 'St. Katharinen' Church and the daily Emirates B777 at the night sky

Two days later... next try. This time I started at railway yard 'Maschen' in the south of Hamburg

After that I continued my trip at 'Binnenalster', a small lake in the inner city in front of hotel 'Four Seasons'

    city hall

    'St. Nikolai' memorial

'Nikolaifleet' with 'Elb-Philharmonic' in the background

    'Landungsbrücken' ('Landing bridges')

In 'Blohm & Voss' drydock there is 'Petrojarl Banff' at the time

    'St. Michaelis' church, called 'Michel'

'Binnenhafen' ('Inland port') with 'Michel' in the background

    Some Love-Padlocks

'Speicherstadt' with 'Hamburg Dungeon' and the 'Miniature Wonderland' in the center of the picture

    The "Chilehouse"

And at least Hamburg main station with departing regional train

The same evening I got the idea to take a picture of cruising ship 'Queen Mary 2" at night when it would be in Hamburg for the next time.
As luck would have it, this should happen the very next day.

'QM2' left Hamburg that night for Oslo with german singer 'Peter Maffay' on board. So I got the first concert for free just like the rest of the inhabitants of Hamburg so loud was it when the queen left the harbour.

So that's it so far. I hope you liked the pictures.
    Kind regards,
    Sebastian

Thank you for sharing those excellent night photos of a beautiful city, Sebastian. Sadly I did not take any night photos when I was there but was able to get some nice daylight shots

Awesome shots... I can't wait to visit and see the Altenwerder Terminal automated TEU handling.
