UZB101 is actually on approach now. I think we all forgot about that stop they make along the way.

I'll be out both days this weekend with a new toy (Sigma 120-300 f/2.8) and some friends who aren't into aviation but have always been curious about the hobby.

(Sorry, Nick, Mark, and Sergio - no Meg, she and I are no longer a thing, so you'll have to find another ass to distract you - maybe mine, if I should be so lucky?)

Anyone going out to shoot tomorrow (wednesday) morn? Id be keen to tag along and meet some jfk regulars. So long as you don't mind picking me up at the airline terminal and dropping me off before 1pm.

When are the best days to be up there? I realize arrivals will be all week, but when will the bulk of diplomatic traffic arrive?

Wondering if the French will reposition to FRG as they've done in past years.

This looks to be an Airbus 340. In the past they have only repositiioned their Falcons at FRG.

Well, that was to support the Thunderbirds. And remember, unlike an A340, the C-17 has actual take off performance. The A340 would be half way to Huntington still trying to get off the ground!

I don't know the A340 disappeared in the pond and never reappeared.

Not sure if it's related, but an Emirates Government 77W was sitting at Dulles last night. Stunning bird.

That often happens when they fly out of range of the receiving stations, which are all part of a private network. I host one and the range on it is at most a couple hundred miles. I wouldn't be surprised if it pops back up when its off the coast of Canada.
