Sucks for me as i saw the astrojet on thursday at the US OPEN... Didnt have my camera so i had to wake up at 630 to catch it the next morning... The thing i didnt know is how hazy the shot would come out! Guess i'm still chasing it!
Probably the youngest spotter ever to walk up the face of the mounds.

Congrats Sergio. This is an especially triumphant catch, since we both invested all those hours waiting for her on Friday only to find out they swapped equipment.

Man do I know that feeling! There is a reason that this link is auto-filled whenever I type "N" into my browser...

Thanks Nick. I bookmarked it. You know, I signed up on Flight Aware for AstroJet email alerts, but I never get them. I get all my other alerts but no Astro. Go figure...

Ok so here's my Astro Jet story. I went to LGA on Friday for her 3PM arrival. I was at the Marina and then they changed to landing RWY 4. Bad time of day for 4, since arrivals would be backlit from planeview park. I raced over to the field and tried to shoot from the parking lot just west of the 4 "piano keys". My flight Radar wasn't showing N951AA. I looked away for a few seconds and she appeared out of nowhere, from behind a small building. I managed to raise my camera quickly enough to get this clipped shot. In the afternoon, Sergio and I waited for her scheduled departure, which ended as a wild goose chase.
