AFR 6 Flight on Aug 16

Although Flight Aware says that AFR flight 6 on Aug. 16 from CDG to JFK was an A388, I spotted it yesterday and was surprised to see a B77W instead. Passur confirms that it was a B77W. Imagine the disappointment of the passengers who bragged to their friends that they were flying on the "Super Jumbo". I guess there were technical problems and AFR had no spare A388 lying around for boarding.

I can't Imagine anybody being disappointed.I also don't think anybody was bragging...it's just an equipment change, happens on a daily basis.

I guess I am a show-off. When I flew on a BA Concorde back in 1979, I bragged about the experience and still do. By the way, my friends recently flew on the Emirates A388 to Dubai, they made sure to let friends know they were flying on a double-decker jet. Had they been switched to the B777, they would have been disappointed no doubt. In any case, I wish to close the discussion.
