    Smile Noise Complaint Hotline

This is no joke but years ago when the Concorde was still flying, I called Noise Complaints to request that the Concorde fly by my house. I live not far from the CRI VOR and got frustrated when I waited for the Concorde only to find-out that she landed on 22L. At that time, I had no scanner and had to find-out where 22L was. Can you imagine what they thought when they heard my message requesting noise?

If it were me on the other end of the line I probably would have said "buy a house or move closure to the airport"! Even today when folks complain about the noise I say they are all wet behind the ears. Today's aircraft (with an exception of a noisy aircraft here and there) the majority of them are lesser noiser than their predecessors, such as the 707, 727, and 737s, etc. The A380 is so darn quiet as well as the 747-800.

I am very fortunate, (or unfortunate in the publics eye) to live right under the approach of 22L and 22R, the planes pass my house at about 2800-3500 feet...I'm so lucky!
Probably the youngest spotter ever to walk up the face of the mounds.

I love the photoshop jobs on the Prospect Park link! I would love to photograph a 727 flying over Brooklyn Botanical Gardens

Do you think any of these people that complain fly?
Look I can understand their complaints but some of it reaches the level of hysterical nonsense!!
And Queens Quiet skies has been around along time and it sure seems they have accomplished nothing!!
