    Public art at airports

Is it that important to travelers?, do you notice it? San Antonio has some 'unique' and I use that term loosely, one being the Day Star Arch, all it is is two wings off a BAC-111 w/LED lights on the trailing edge http://www.sanantonio.gov/SAT/IntheAirport/Art.aspx looks like the leftovers from a crash.

The Suitcase Wheel is just a bunch of old suitcases in a big circle

Or is it? Possibly a crude Stargate of some type!

Nothing else to do when it's a hundred degrees here!
    PANTS UP, DON'T LOOT!

BWI has a lot of aviation related art hanging in what, to me, is like its own museum. I love it.

I enjoy any art in an airport...anything that can humanize the experience.

Sometimes, the architecture of a terminal (and the way it's arranged) is artsy in itself. BCN's latest terminal is gorgeous.

SFO Museum (landside, behind Terminal A gates security) has a bunch of rotating exhibits. Last time I was there, it was the history of UA FA outfits.

SFO also has a rotation of exhibits throughout the terminals from the museums in SF. International terminal has displays landside before the A and G gates. Airside in Terminal 3, there is a big display besides the endless moving sidewalks. Haven't been in the new Terminal 2 yet. Don't remember if Terminal 1 had anything, but it is a dump.
