    A new lens, Sigma 18-35 f1.8

I just got the Sigma 18-35 1.8 monster and I am very happy with the build quality. It feels heavy on my 7D and also feels very solid.

Here is a shot I took this morning

That lens is getting some really good reviews. I only have one Sigma lens(the Bigmos) but I am happy with its output.

Looks like the lens has a new kind of exterior texture, which is good considering the surface of the Bigmos is this wierd coarseness

Does this lens have a built in auto-focus motor? I am not familiar with the Sigma lens codes.

Fred, congrats on the new lens. It looks like you captured Andromeda in that image. If you are interested in shots of the night sky, a light pollution filter helps a lot around here. I have one from Astonomik that works well but it is pricey.
