    Question Update on North American

I should have posted this a few years ago. I loved seeing the North American B767-300 aircraft over the Brooklyn shoreline with their attractive waving flag on the tail. They were using the VOR 13L Approach. Then suddenly no more. The airline still operates charter flights from what I have read but I never see them around NYC anymore. I miss these aircraft. I recall when they did a code-share with ELY. Any chance they will return here? I think they used the former IAB (now T4). I was never able to get a printed timetable to put in my collection..

They moved all ops to GA a while ago. Where have you been?

And they moved from a scheduled airline to a charter only airline in 2008. All flight ops are based out of TPA now. It is unlikely that they will return except as a charter stop on a one-off.

I agree. I should have posted back then. I kept putting it off. Thanks for the update. I really miss N. American.. I am getting older on Medicare now and depend on the great guys here at NYCA to help me. I can no longer run around with my scanner and 500 m lens. I mostly spot from the shore of Brooklyn. If I get 1 A388 and a few from Europe then I'm lucky! Cheers!

I saw a North American 767 departing JFK the other day on PlaneFinder. Was so sad that I didn't get a shot of it!
