    Awesome Tim!

Here are few more as we're all probably still going through our hordes of images. Enjoy!

Tried to salvage this one as best as I could.

The last one, killer! Is that from the hill, and do the aircraft stop on a taxiway, or hold short etc...?
Probably the youngest spotter ever to walk up the face of the mounds.

Jared, yes, from Imperial Hill... Sometimes they will stop for exiting aircraft so you must be prepared to take advantage ;)

John, glad you got the bizjet on the GAT ramp ;)

Mark slowed down to a crawl for the shot, and we immediately were asked to move along by LAPD. Never saw them until I pushed the trigger.
Maybe we need a data set? ;P

Thanks Jared, all of those night shots were from the hill.

Data sets? I'm up to my ears in data sets and data-mining!!!! Glad you were able to get the shot.

Jared …. for most night shots (except for those parked at the gate), you have to be in the ready mode, no time to adjust the settings. Try to have your camera set, and the second the aircraft stops, start shooting! Don't be afraid to increase your ISO in order to get a faster shutter speed or open up your aperture and adjust accordingly.

I just just downloaded my first batch of photos from the LAX trip to my main computer... I have about 150GB worth of shots ... those are old D3 file sizes so it is a TON of pictures. Had I had my D800, it would have been more like 500GB

Only one for now. Last ever touchdown of a Singapore A340-500 at LAX. What an experience!

I didn't come close to how much I expected to shoot, or to how much I wanted to; unfortunately by the time I decided to go, it was too late to request PTO at work for Friday, to that, add that I hit some bad IRROPS on my way to LAX, got re-routed through ORD, barely made my connection, and got to the gate almost 1 hour later than I originally planned to, and on Sunday the weather was miserable.

I think these two are my only "stellar" shots.

In the end, I definitely enjoyed the company of people I hadn't seen in ages, some In-n-Out, and got to visit LAX after almost 2 years without doing so (awful considering that I was merely 6 hours by car). I got plenty of Virgin America shots, my first 787 (actually, my first 787 sighting ever was at ORD while taxiing to the runway on the way to LAX). After getting to my apartment around 11 PM on Sunday (got hit with yet another delay, this time at DEN) and seeing the first photos, I safely concluded that I regretted nothing.

Those night shots from the hill are amazing! Manny, where were you for the A345 touch down? We were in a vacant lot just shy of the piano keys as it flew over. Didn't see the touch down on the ground. I have been uploading all of my keepers to JP.net. I have had 31/33 of my LAX keepers accepted. The two rejects are back in queue after minor adjustments.

    My Singapore shot.

Hello...I am wondering if there was going to be a PHX/NYC meet in LAX this year?
