Theres a BA 380 inbound to LAX right now... wasn't the meet-up supposed to be for the inaugural??
Probably the youngest spotter ever to walk up the face of the mounds.

It was. But BA moved up the inaugural by a month.

Manny, it looks like the BA A380 either arrives in the evening or mid-afternoon, depending on the day. Today (Thursday) is an evening arrival, but tomorrow is a 3:00pm-ish arrival.

Have a great time at LAX. Something confuses me, Flight Aware lists the A380 into LAX as an alternate with the regular B744. Let us know as Flight Aware has been mistaken in the past. It lists todays'( Oct 18) flight as the older B744. When I search G-XLEA, the same site lists a 6:04pm A380 arrival into LAX on Oct. 18, which is the sole A380 of BA. If true, the aircraft must be a workhorse as the flight is about 11 hours each way. You guys at LAX please confirm A380 or B744. I am curious. I once waited for the AFR A380 into JFK, Flight Aware listed Flight 6 as the A388 but I saw it and it was the older B777. Where do they get the listings, the flight route is also often incorrect.

It's G-XLEA today; just finished crossing Hudson Bay for a 1540L arrival in Los Angeles.

Firstly, thanks to Phil and the Phoenix Spotters for setting this up. It was a great outing, and it was nice to hang with fellow spotters and meet new spotters as well. You couldn't have asked for better weather and traffic. Hope everyone made it home safely. Now comes the grunge work of post processing. Hope to have a few images uploaded soon. Looking forward to everyones images. John K and I enjoyed a few hours of spotting from the restaurant at LAX while waiting for our return flight home. All good stuff came our way for a change as we were enjoying and feasting on our lunch like the bird below.
