A couple of years ago I did a fun shoot for an ad using a 1:1 scale airliner interior section mock up. The section was rented from a prop house in NJ and they delivered it to our studio in Williamsburg. I believe they built it from retired 727 seats and interior walls. I chose "hot" lights over strobes to give the feel of sunlight. The cabin lighting was also operational for the night shots. They set it up in front of the white studio syke wall so we could get some nice bounced light to spill into the windows. I don't like using painted sky backdrops or striping in sky in post because it never really looks natural. Here are some behind the scenes shots a friend took.
Hauling it off the truck. So surreal to see this on a city street!
