If an engine was really hanging off it would cause severe drag and interrupt with flight characteristics. Take for an example Atlantic Southeast flight 529 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlanti...nes_Flight_529. I think it could just be the perspective and some distortion of the camera lens. But I could be wrong.

The distance and distortion (introduced from what appears to be a smartphone lens, not the highest quality capture device by a long shot) is creating that effect

    video quality

did you change video quality ? see my description under the video..if you watch it in 1080p it looks better..youtube dumb down everyones videos to save on their bandwidth and make videos load faster, it may well be a trick of the angle i filmed at but it does look odd.

deff looks odd ... my first thought was maybe it was a "test" engine .. maybe testing a different fuel type or something?

I watched it again in HD. Definitely looks wierd but I'm sure there's some kind of optical illusion/phenomenon at play here

Maybe you want to search NASA's ASRS:

Actually I meant you can search to see if this was something that actually got reported, I could be wrong but I don't think ASRS is for non-flightcrew to be submitting reports to

I'm sure it was just an optical illusion.

I suspect it was an optical illusion, and if the engine really was hanging that far out of alignment, the crew knew about it, and it certainly would have been noticed when they landed. If there was a problem, and not just an optical illusion, I doubt some random person contacting FedEx for an explanation would get any you anything.
