    Moving On

I originally had a fairly long winded post (ask anyone who’s ever edited me, I love to overwrite) for today, but decided to trash it in favor of being short and sweet. Or at least short.

Today is my last day working for NYCAviation. Though it was a tough call, I made the decision earlier this month as I’ve been moving toward making photography a full time career.

It’s been an absolute privilege to work for NYCA over the past three years and help serve up some serious avgeek-based awesomeness. Between overseeing our correspondents, planning out coverage, and getting into the field myself it’s been nothing short of an awesome ride. I want to thank our staff team; Phil, Jason, and our beloved Matt for their support and of course for putting up with me…and all of you for at least pretending my articles were worth reading .

While I may be leaving the NYCA staff, I’m certainly not leaving this community. You all have felt like another family to me since I joined up in 2008. The support, encouragement, advice, and friendships I’ve received and made here have meant the world to me and will absolutely continue to.

I don’t yet know where this new phase of life will take me, but wherever and whatever it is, I look forward to sharing it with you all as it unfolds.

    Blue Skies,
    Jeremy

    LMAO @ Cary.

Jeremy has been a huge part of our team for years, adn I can't say how excited for and proud of him that I am. His photography is truly top notch, far beyond aviation, and I look forward to seeing where it takes him.

As we've discussed, Jeremy, thank you for all of your work, and all of your heart. You've cared for NYCA like you were sitting next to me a decade ago to buy the domain name.

    Cheers!

Jeremy, it has been a pleasure getting you see and read your work over the last few years. Your contributions to the site will certainly be missed. I don't know anyone that could step up and fill the void in your absence.

Best of luck in your endeavors! You'll definitely go far my friend.

Jeremy, all the best to you. You have the eye, and maybe more importantly, you have the will & drive to take your passion to a career.
Please keep posting, what you can, in the forums here. Believe it or not, your work does inspire others to look at things differently.

You don't even have a yellow tint on your pictures.

    Good luck man!

You don't even have a yellow tint on your pictures.
That's because a) I'm not Cary and b) we only ever see grey in Seattle.

And could you please return my original paperwork I faxed to you??
I swear if one more person seriously tries to convince me of that today I'm gonna lose it. I remember the first time someone tried to pull it on me...it actually hurt to try to wrap my head around it. Left me speechless. And let me tell you, as a case manager, there's little you say or do that results in that.

I'm going to miss the emails with a lead and a subject that only read "RUN RUN RUN!!"

See you sometime soon in Seattle, buddy!
