    They call it the "Airport in the Sky". Years ago, I was fortunate to fly (as a passenger) from San Diego to Catalina and really enjoyed the airport there. There is no forgiveness for landing short or overrunning the end of the runway - on either end. It kind of reminded me of an aircraft carrier in that regard.
