    Fort Worth Alliance 5/3 & 5/4 2013 + Miscellanious (Image Heavy)

    Hey Guys,

    With a few days before finals start up, I decided to head for Fort Worth again for the weekend. Have already been out to the airport twice, and will probably head back out again this afternoon. Had a challenging night of photography, with the ramp lights mostly burned out, leaving the AF unable to do its job and me having to manual focus in the dark practically, and the Maryland A-10s I wanted were unshootable due to other parked aircraft. However this morning made things a bit easier.

    USMC Hornet on the ramp









    A nice pair of Air National Guard C-130s, from Nevada and California





























    And then some stuff from this card that I had never downloaded, including the Vans flyover for the NASCAR race, and some Fed Ex action from December 2012

























    Anyhow, I hope you enjoyed this somewhat odd assortment of photos.

    Amazing stuff Pat, I'm a sucker for... well... pretty much all of them! The herk night shots are great, the lighting on the three holer is just perfect, and I love me some A-10 action.

    Thanks guys! As I indicated above, I did indeed end up going back to the airport, 3 more times actually.

    Got a heads up that this guy was coming in on Saturday afternoon, so despite the harsh light and heat haze, we went out





    It is always fun having the Antonov on the ramp, as it makes for nice size comparisons





    We thing something is wrong with this jet's nose-gear, 3 or 4 guys spent about an hour staring at it, touching it, taking pics of it, etc. That and it has made 3 short AFW-AFW flights this weekend alone...





    With talk of a replacement for these beauties in sight, I have entered the shoot every T-38 phase as a spotter





    And then lastly, our Cinco De Mayo gift from Volga, a nice departure in beautiful evening light
