LAS, SAN and LAX march 2013

    Hi Guys,

My 1st photography post on NYCAviation! This wasn't a spotting trip but I managed to escape from my girlfriend a couple of times. Managed a couple of hours at LAS, chose the 1's and wasn't dissapointed in my choice.. At SAN I nearly had the whole afternoon and the weather was great. Shame is I was alone with the car and could not leave it unaccompanied, so I was stuck at the viewing area. This becomes a pain when aircraft are waiting to line up. Not only do the tails get in the way of landing a/c, but the heatwaves tend to upset a lot the pictures. LAX was awful weather wise, low clag and fog rolling in over the sea, heatwaves, haze and a nasty bit of your typical LA smog didn't help very much in getting some good shots. Anyway, I hope you enjoy them...I did taking them.

    Regards,

    Chris

Very nice, the spotting Gods smiled at you at LAS and SAN! Well done.

Some beautiful private birds in there, and the United 744 looks great despite the heat haze

Do you need a ladder at SAN?

    Lear,

No you don't for the landing traffic but it can be tricky.

Thanks. I have not shot from there and was wondering. I fly in and out of there frequently though!
