    KMIA - March 15th Morning -

After my Opa Locka visit, I finally had my first experience shooting at MIA. I went to "The Holes" location as they were taking off and landing on the 8's with a few 12's here and there. I'll save you the 100 or so AA 737's and share the one's I liked the best.

    Taca - E190

    Insel Air - MD82

    Bahamas Air B737-500

Mesa CRJ-700 (still in Battleship Grey scheme)

    EMB-145 Pink Ribbon

    Air France A320

    World Atlantic MD-82

    Aerolineas A340-300

    Avianca A319

    United B737-500 (12 arrival)

    Sky Lease MD-11F

    Skyway Shorts 360

    IFL Group Convair 580

    American Eagle E145 new colors

As you can probably see in this shot, the heat haze was getting really bad. So I packed it up and headed north.
Look for FLL/FXE pictures next week. Thanks for looking!

SkyLease on 08R is unusual. I was in Miami for 7 months and I saw them exclusively use 09. Did they move their ops to the new North-side facility along 36th St (that could explain it)?

Air France has been flying usually 2 narrow body aircraft from MIA to the French speaking Caribbean Islands going back to at least the Caravelle days, I think they serve around 8 total including SXM.

    Great pics BTW.

Tis: They were on the North East side of the airport, so I'm thinking yes.
Ron: Thanks for the clarification on the AF 320!

And thanks to all for the kind words.

As Ron said they fly that plane all over French Caribbean. I've shot it at SXM
