very interesting article. How often do politicians ride on military aircraft ?

Isn't Biden riding on Amtrak going to create massive security hassles and inconveniences for everybody else who uses the system that particular day ?

    Just take a damn chopper....

I recall a tweet I read about someone who was on the same train as Hillary Clinton when she was the Secretary of State. They occupied two cars - one for her and one empty car.
Perhaps they might do the same for Biden, but I agree the helo is the way to go.

I've seen Jill Biden at 30th Street in Philadelphia waiting in a cordoned off area, but I'd honestly rather see the Vice President and the Speaker (#2 and #3 in the line) have as much security as the Secret Service/Capitol Police deem necessary, without regard to the budget.

I got delayed Thursday morning leaving for AVL as he flew in to RWY 4 while LGA was on 31 visual approach. I got to see the plane's tail as it taxied off the RWY for the pad behind Marine Air Terminal. Then as we taxied for takeoff from RWY 4, I saw the motorcade leaving the field.

So much for no more flights on AF2... I guess we all missed the memo about the sequestration ending?

I'm guessing it comes down to security and his entourage and the USSS really doesnt want him catching the US Air shuttle from Reagan!!
