KBDL 2/24/2013 - New AA Livery

Despite the weather conditions I headed to BDL for some afternoon spotting to try out a new "morning spot" since it was overcast and I didn't have to worry about shots being backlit.

Not much traffic, or at least not much exciting traffic. Except for a pleasant surprise at the end of the day.











Was not expecting this girl since N908NN was headed elsewhere. This is supposedly the second painted 737-800 in the new AA livery, N803NN, on it's first revenue flight after leaving the paint shop at Roswell on Saturday.

Overcast days can be very forgiving with backlit situations. Looks like you made the best of them.
Hmmm, a Compass bird with a 7xx registration...they must be getting some new ones.

Don, yes i was shooting from on top of the bed rails on my truck. This weekend i'll be putting my spotting platform back on so i dont have to balance and i can use my step stool as well to get about 10 more inches of clearance over the fence.
