NAF El Centro Base Visit - Feb 21, 2013

I would like to share some photos I took on a recent visit to NAF El Centro. The Blue Angels were doing their winter
training and flew twice each day. There was also some other interesting aircraft.

    T-34C

    T-45 Goshawks from VT-7

Marine F/A-18D from VMFAT-101 Sharpshooters at Miramar - did one touch and go and left

Prowler from VAQ-129 - sad to see these go

    Growler from VAQ-129 Vikings

Growler from VAQ-136 and some T-45s above

Rhino from VFA-86 out of NAS Lemoore

MV-22B Ospreys from VMM-363 out of MCAS Miramar

    Growler from VAQ-136 Gauntlets

Last departure we saw after sunset - Marine F/A-18C from VMFAT-101 Sharpshooters

    Thanks for looking

    Isaac

Great coverage. Love all the shots
The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".

Awesome shots, I wish all bases were this photographer friendly, the PAO around here usually just returns my requests with the email equivalent of a dirty look and rolled eyes.

    Thanks guys.

Yeah, the guy ran after his hat :) but that could have been a FOD problem if it blew across the runway. I couldn't believe how much rotor wash the Osprey produced ...

Thanks so much Chris. Good talking to you too.

Oh man, that video is freakin hilarious, I had to watch it a couple of times! Thanks for posting. The jetwash is unbelievable though and I've seen people get knocked over before. Camera bags go flying etc...
