    Dallas/Fort Worth Area Spotting-2/22-2/24

    Hello All,

Made it up home for the first weekend this semester to celebrate my 20th Birthday from this past week. Decided to swing by Alliance Airport to try nome night shots on the ramp, and found some nice treats

The most obvious of these was the Volga Dnepr AN-124, which was fittingly their 20th Anniversary bird!

Also present was a rare C-2 Greyhound from VX-20 at NAS Patuxent River, a test bird

Also present was one of the last NAS Oceana based CAG jets that I have never taken a photo of, VFA-11 the Red Rippers

I got word today that the Antonov would be going out, so we drove back over to AFW. Sadly the light wasn't great for this guy's departure, but since he banked so nicely...

A T-6 Texan II on departure

And for the main event, the Antonov, heading for KPAE

Hope you all have enjoyed. I may step out for some more spotting tonight/tomorrow, and will update if I do!

    Cheers!

    Nick

Thank you all! Jeremy, I wondered if you might catch this flight on the other end.

True to my word, I went back to Alliance, twice actually.

Saturday night for this (just for you Moose!)

and then this morning while waiting on the Red Rippers Hornets to depart, before ultimately giving up as they departed in crap light and heading to DFW to catch the Susan G Komen AA 777 that screwed me on the far runways... a nice T-38 Section departure

DFW photos from today stayed on the card up in Dallas, I will get to them in about 2 weeks or so.

    Cheers!
