    SXM St Maarten 2/4-6/2013

Greetings from St. Maarten! I'm out here with Eric right now, and this place absolutely lived up to expectations. Can't upload pictures as usual, so here is a link to my Facebook album, which has all my pics thus far. Enjoy!

Jason, real spotters NEVER EVER take a dip in the water, they are busy making sure they cover all the ops in and out

PJ-DAC is rare and N10VU even rarer!! Sweet catch...

In one of the pics, the area next tot he fence is TOTALLY COVERED in tourists... the worst day for me last Christmas was maybe one or two people in that spot... it got crowded on the beach but not nearly as bad as these pics show... wow!!!

Personally I really like the shots with the beach so crowded; I think it adds more to the surrealism of the plane being so, so low.

but it's great in the morning when you first get there, and before the ships empty out ...

I thought you were there when N10VU came in? I believe the morning of the 26th (have to look at my photos)?

I absolutely LOVE Maho in the morning. I worked on the French side for a few months 12 years ago and would always make a detour to drink my AM coffee by the fence. Totally love this island.

BTW Jason, great second shot with Saba in the background.

    Thanks everyone!
What an incredible place. To add to the insane crowd at Maho that day, one of the giant ships was actually a gay cruise, which was.....interesting. Not a great scene at the beach for me, lol!
