I thought the 60d would be at least $100 more expensive than the Rebel.

In that case, it's a toss up. If I were in your shoes I would google '60D vs Xsi' and start reading the comparisons people are making- often they will highlight issues in a direct comparison that would not be noticed when just looking at specs. The Rebel has a more modern sensor; maybe that's important enough to you to tip the scales in its favor. I doubt the pictures will look much different, but I'm not a Canon guy.

The other test is the 'hand' test. Go physically handle them both and see which one feels better in your hands, because that's going to be the camera you want to own and shoot.

Steve, thanks for the link, I've already looked at that a thousand times. Basically what I'm getting is they have the same processor, and the same image quality. Its just the features...

Go down to a camera store and play with both - see how they feel, size, shape, location of controls, and see what feels best to you.

60d is bigger and fits better in most guys hands. the smaller camera is good for moms with smaller hands. If you pick them both up, it will be the deal breaker I am sure.... guys???

Exactly. I hated how my Rebel XTi fit in my hand. I always found my hand cramping up when shooting for longer periods. Once I upgraded to my current 5D MKII and 50D, my hand is way more comfortable.

I've been shooting with the 60D since since October '12 and absolutely love it. The polycarb body isn't a problem unless you're incredibly rough with your camera. Image quality is superb with both the 60D and t4i, though the t4i has the new digic processor. While I'd go for the 7d over the 60d if I had the chance, I find the articulated screen quite helpful in capturing unique angles that would otherwise be impossible. I ended choosing the 60D because of its enthusiast touches, such as the top mounted LCD screen, much more comfortable grip, and two dials, which I value greatly.
