Hard to tell for sure from that photo, but it looks like it was out near the wingtip. I'm assuming the 787 is like most other Boeings and has a vent for the mains out there. Often times, if you are a little too full (or in hot weather have a little too much expansion) you will get some fuel sloshing out the vent. It's generally not a big deal, but given it's a 787 it will be treated like it's the end of the world...
