    Congrats on the new camera John! Make sure that it has the newest firmware as they updated it recently and added several new useful features. I've had the 7D for a few years now and love it.

    Thanks guys! Joe, I did update the firmware - it came with 2.0.0 and I saw they had 2.0.3 available.

    Nice! and the verdict? Satisfied? We have a Nikon 3000. Wife dropped it and am looking for another. Feedback welcome please.

    In all seriousness, I would replace the 3000 with the 3100- now that the 3200 is out should be easy to get one at a decent price

    I bought the D3200 as a second body/backup. Mostly to get the kit lens which is kick ass because the 3200 sensor is insane. It is however severely limited in how it performs. For a primary camera shooting aviation spend 300 more and get a D300 refurb. It's a real nice camera.
