JFK - 1/3/13 (Emirates, Kuwait, Arik)

Stepped out briefly just to catch a few metal birds from HoBe (which is still closed).

This Delta shot was taken just before heading over the bridge to HoBe (I wanted to get a different perspective, and I sure as heck got one).

Wow!! Mark, those are stunning!! I am definitely loving the "new" angle you got on the Delta 744. I cannot wait to finally get to catch Emirates A380 on a [daytime] HoBe departure.

Thanks Steve ..... The area the I shot the Delta from is only good if they go long on the runway, otherwise they will be either over you and or backlit during the winter light.

Damn! Awesome light on those Mark.
Do they still have a cop stationed in front of HoBe? Wondering if they know when the park will re-open.

John...........no cops in front of the park. I just park next to the closed gate and then get out of the vehicle to get my shots. I've seen other visitors parked next to the gate as well, as they go out into the waters to perform their rituals. I may take a ride to the parks area that controls the bird sanctuary and inquire about opening the gates.

By the way these were taken with 80-400mm lens (decided to give this old dog some action)

Raj .... Images were taken with the 80-400mm (an old dog that wanted to come and play). Looking forward to breaking out that 500mm for some night stuff one of these days.

Thanks again all for your comments .... It's greatly appreciated
