    JFK 12-19-12 [Sunrise at JFK]

If I have to be near JFK at sun rise, I might as well head to T5 and do some spotting! Finally got the Air Canada "Express" Dash-8, doing a 31R departure, none the less. Never seen that before.

Thanks, Mark. Too bad arrivals were so few and far between. Got bored once the light got better and left. Just nothing good coming in. Would have loved to shoot departures, but nowhere to go for that.

Looked like a good morning. I was up, couldn't drag myself out of bed to shoot. Have to edit some track and field then I might be out later.

Sun Country left early this afternoon according to plane finder. Would have liked to catch her in the air. Now to keep an eye on her for her return back.

SCY will have two Transavia hybrids this winter. Also be on the lookout for their newest bird 818SY next two weeks. Ex Ethopia. 806 will probably be retired.

NP Mark, things are cracking out here. I think SCY will also add two more 700s later March. EX Aeromexico birds I think.

You sure that isn't HZI? I heard HZJ had a mx issue at JFK and is down for a month. HZI is filling in. Also 818 was in MSP today. All white waiting for SCY paint. Keep an eye out. You may get a few movements beforehand. Def a catch. I am hoping they send her through IFP when the snowbird rush starts next Fri. Though I get the feeling she may be painted.
