Ft. Worth Alliance (KAFW) 12-18-2012: FedEx, Military, and more.....

    Hello All,

I had a rather eventful day of photography today, and thought I'd share

I went out to catch this singular aircraft, it was my only objective. I aimed to leave afterwards, but decided to stick it out. So glad I did!

Great light in the mornings was put to good use on some varied subjects

And the last treat for the morning, this rather discreet addition to the USAF's Special Operations Arm, the C-146A

I decided to walk the 3.5 miles back out to the other side of the airport again after lunch, and was well rewarded once more

And of course... the best is saved for last. My first F-35 Lightning II ever, and with Lockheed's Company Chase-Plane too!

    Hope you have enjoyed!

    Nick

Thank you both. It was certainly a surprisingly awesome catch. Suffice it to say I am going out again tomorrow, and Thursday!

One of the best sets I've seen here in a while. The light was amazing and I can't believe the variety you got. I'm blown away, I love some of those planes, and that F-35...damn.

A lot of good FedEx feeder aircraft on the forums lately. I'm really loving it.

That Cessna 560 Citation Ultra has some of the most wicked cockpit windows ever. They MUST hold a record for the largest windows on any plane LOL.

Of course the highlight is the F-35, what a catch... the rest of the stuff is pure sh*** if that plane is in the roster. Nick, why bother posting any other pics?

...also, the rear shoes on the F-35 are huge... they seem bigger than anything else in that class aircraft, no?

This is insane!!! Sick catches in even better light. Keep em coming!!!

Manny- the copilot window on he ultra/bravo/encore/2/5 is incredibly large. I've been flying on a bravo (same airframe).
Have you ever seen a grown man naked?

    Thank you!

Oh Manny, how could I dare ignore that ATR-42, or that A300, or heaven forbid that F-16D :)

Weather killed todays spotting, Back to Alliance tomorrow though! LAX on Monday- should be a good week ;)

What's an ATR-42? And if you want me to notice the F-16 (even if it is a special Lockheed Martin one) you should have put it farther away from the F-35!!

    Very Funny, Manny.

Thank you, William. The C-146A is certainly a bizarre aircraft

In a bright day like that your aim was only one aircraft? I know you won't think like that next time.
