Phoenix 12-16-2012 (Nice an sunny and not just Sky Harbor)

After the soaker we had on Saturday the sunshine was definitely a welcome change today. I didn't get in much spotting today since I was off photographing the Apache Trail, but I did manage to get some good shots in today.

And on to the "other" aviation photography I was doing today. I had been wanting to get out to this location for a while now and never was able to. Thanks to my friend Jared out here, I was able to go this trip. Definitely lovin editing these photos.

Above exceptional to all the pictures. Though my personal favorites are the boneyard sightings.

Quick question, yesterday I saw the US Air aircraft that is in the Arizona Cardinals livery parked at a gate!! Saw it the last time I was in PHX a month ago departing. Is that aircraft used by the team, regular flights or both? Cardinals were at home yeserday also.

Great set Steve.... I have to get out to PHX again at some point.
It's hard to take chances but sometimes it's better if you do

Man, they need to send those AW legacy paints to Philly!

Great job Steve, it must have been like being in a time machine standing next to those old hulks in the desert, where they've been to, and thinking about all the people who flew on them

    Thanks Guys!

Gerard-the cardinals logo plane is not used by the team. Generally the team charters a United 764 like the Lions had in town with them for the game this weekend.

William - standing next to those relics was amazing but not nearly as amazing as climbing in one and making my way to the cockpit

Oh and one more question for you PHX guys...is there a power plant NW of Phoenix? As we were banking for a turnout to the east I saw three plumes of steam/smoke rising up from that area!! Thanks.
