    Washington DC - Lotta Pix!

I took a run up to Long Island for Thanksgiving week, and spent a night in Washington, DC on both ends of the trip. I hadn't been to DC in half a dozen years, so I was looking forward to spending a little time shooting.

    At the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial

This was the first time I've been to DC since the US Air Force Memorial was opened, and I made sure to stop by for a visit.

    I agree, Love every shot!
The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".

Thanks, guys! Gerard, the Air Force Memorial is off I-395, just west of the Pentagon.

Moose, great shots. When I visited DC for the Andrews show and tried to take out my camera at the Pentagon, I was quickly stopped by security saying that photos were not allowed there, I guess you had better luck.

You are permitted to take photos of the 9/11 Memorial, but the signs clearly say that is the only area of the Pentagon where photos are permitted.

That's good to know if I make it back there some day, but that wasn't the case in the eyes of the security or agent on watch when I was there. Thanks.

Managed to snap these at the Pentagon a couple years ago

benches pointing toward the Pentagon= people on the aircraft, benches pointing away= people inside the building

had to hold back some tears taking this one

I could never work there knowing planes still flew close by on a regular basis- it would drive me crazy
