Added: Air Tractor AT-301 from “Disney’s Planes”

Dusty – the star of “Disney’s Planes,” which comes to theaters August 9, 2013, will make an appearance at the Jones Beach Air Show. Dusty’s real life counterpart will be piloted by Rusty Lindeman, a Texas based aerial applicator, who modified his Air Tractor AT-301 crop dusting airplane to look just like the one in the movie.

I need to clarify that the PBY is not flying in the airshow at this time and the AAM paid for it to come from the Fighter Factory. One more reason to visit the AAM as if you didn't already have about 50 reasons.

The PBY is not scheduled to fly in the Jones Beach show as of now, but will be on display and flying at the Museum at Republic through the weekend. The PBY was brought in by AAM with the help of Sponsor Bristal Assisted Living.

Found this cool video of the new 2013 CF-18 Demo jet flying along with the 2012 CF-18 Demo jet.
I can't wait to see the sweet looking 2013 CF-18 Demo Jet flying over JONES BEACH this weekend !!!

5/20/13 – Airshow Week Update: Rob Holland, David Windmiller, SUNY Farmingdale & More!

Rob Holland is due in tomorrow and he will be flying with Matt Chapman. Also, SUNY Farmingdale will have 7 of theire PA-28's do some flying over the beach during airshow.

Yup, Team Oracle and John Klatt are already at FRG.

Pretty quiet on there today. Oracle went up, and the crew at the AAM was working in a lot of stuff outdoors.

But you would never know it is air show week. What a shame.

Was out at the field for a bit. Saw the C47 flying around and caught Windmiller coming back.

Here is the scoop (all subject to change of course):

• CF-18 arrival tomorrow (Wed) ETA unknown (look for support trucks, that is usually a good indicator).
• The Raiders should arrive Thursday at 6pm (weather permitting) and they will fly a 2 ship teaser demo at the beach followed by a 4 ship full demonstration.
• PBY arrival on Thursday (weather permitting)
• B-17 arrival on Friday
