Sorry Chris, They took off towards the 1 end, my bad for the confusion. I now know for future reference the end that they start at is the runway number, thank you for clarifying that. I did see you today on top of your truck this morning, but you left shortly afterward and I didn't see you again.

Great shots everyone, thanks for sharing!

Moose, I would totally call that Hornet comment a low blow if it wasn't so damn true for the legacy birds...

Here are a few of mine that I edited

The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".

You telling me that airplane gets less than 15mins on a tank if it hits the burner?

I don't buy that excuse at all... The Angels hit the burner... A LOT, the USN Super Hornet hits it, even the freakin raptor hits the burner when it comes. Also, they didn't fly Saturday, so they should have had some extra fuel available...

Lighten up, Francis. Hornets are notorious for their short range and thirsty engines, I was having a little fun at their expense.

You can only fit so much in the airplane. If they had flown on Saturday, they would have refueled the jet before Sunday's flight, so the fact that they didn't fly Saturday has nothing to do with how much fuel they can carry on Sunday.

I was referring to the the Hornet's need to refuel before it gets to the end of the catapult during carrier ops.

So does that mean they needed to do a refueling stop before getting to Quebec?

Best quote: "Any of you suck holes want to come up here and knock me off?"

That line has been keeping me laughing for the past quarter century
