    Morning Spotting

Im planning to go to Kennedy for a morning shoot trying to get some heavy departures in gold light. Does anyone have any tips for locations, what time is the busiest, and any other tips I might find handy?

Morning departures woudl be best if JFK is using 4L or 22R. For 4L, you would use the North Woodmere location on our guides. For 22R departures in the morning, you would need to go to the Bayswater Park location on our guides..

Don't forget HoBe if the gate is open (which I will check on tomorrow) for 31L departures.

Well, in the morning, it won't be that great light-wise, that's why I didn't mention it... but yes, that is yet another spot :-)

HoBe Update - passed by there this morning and both gates are still locked but one can probably pull over or park on the side and get some shots. Winter light and light there is ideal in my view. Sunrise now is basically lined up with the Rwy for 13L and 13R, so if you were standing and looking East down towards the end of the runway the sunrise should be there and then rise and be south of the runway for 13-31.
