    CLT's Lufthansa Lady

Maybe Moose and others can offer more guidance, but I understand this woman just comes for Lufthansa arrivals, singing for it, and then leaves.

Anyone have more info or specific stories? Anyone try to talk to her ever? I guess we don't know the reasoning for it?

Strange, I wonder what attracts her just to LH- the condor emblem maybe?

In other news, why isn't there a little hill like that @ JFK or Philly for that matter

We have no idea. All I can tell you is that she's required to call Airport Ops each day and she's there like clockwork. Nobody knows though...

I've seen people like her at Grateful Dead concerts. Behavior makes way more sense @ Deadshows though

Does she track the flight from home before she comes? What if the weather is bad? What if it's late? What if it diverts after she's left the house? Does she care about aircraft swaps?

There used to be a guy at HoBe that would also do some kind of ritual when planes departed... anyone remember him??

It's hard to take chances but sometimes it's better if you do

HoBe rituals.....always remind me of Cennamo from Major League.

The LuftyLady. The story goes she experienced her first and only orgasm whilst in missionary and at that precise moment of pleasure, a Lufthansa 737 flew overhead. Since then, its the closest she can come to the experience.
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

I recall us more than once performing rituals hoping for a departure while clouds are clear of the sun... that's for damn sure!

Is she really there every day? I want to go down and do a story about her.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

I read that someone tried to talk to her, and she just stared at him. So, you might not get too much info. But someone mentioned that a man, possibly her husband, drives her there and he just stays in the car. Maybe he will talk :)

Matt, every time I've been there when the Lufty A340 arrives, she has been there. A month or so ago, I was out at the overview, and just as I thought "Lufty should be in soon" I heard her start her chant behind me, followed by the flight checking in with tower. She comes out with her husband, does her thing, and leaves when the plane departs. I've heard that a few people have approached her but she was not receptive to interactions with others.

I heard from someone she only comes out for their A340 - they recently switched to an A330 for the winter season, and I'll probably get out this weekend, so I'll let you know if she is out for it. Let me know if you do decide to visit.
