    Final shot.

It is with a measure of sadness that I must announce the passing of my 5Dmkii this morning. It died after injuries sustained during a fall yesterday. Amazingly, despite falling 10ft it gave me another 300 shots before giving me an error 20. A local camera shop confirmed that it was totaled. In any case, its last few photos were spent focused on the most adorable animals I can think of: snow leopard cubs attacking a pumpkin.

So, the last shot on the card:

    It was a good run.

Once I have a replacement, I will! I'm hoping insurance gives me enough for a III...we'll find out.

Yes: no visible damage and continued functioning for the rest of the day and all day yesterday without issue. So as much as I can't imagine it is fine, it definitely seems to be. The body continued to work as well for the rest of the day and into yesterday morning but was also very visibly damaged (cracks on the body, LCD panel popped off)...

    Thanks guys

Insurance is being difficult...I had to send both camera and lens out to Canon for a damage estimate this morning.

what kind of lens do you use jeremey?i started using a 75-300M for a Eos rebel Instead of 25-200M on a d70.

The lens that was on the camera when it dropped was the canon 70-200 2.8 IS II...for the image above it was the 500 f/4
