Space Shuttle Landing Almost a Touch and Go

If only the shuttle could take off! Looks like Columbia really wanted to here. Taken during STS-3 on March 30, 1982.

One of the rare White Sands landings. Still, it was better than most of my Flight Simulator landings

They did a little Aerodynamic braking.

That's not why the Shuttle did that and that Swiss did not do the same thing. The Shuttle's nose came up because the pilot thought it was about to drop too fast and pulled back to slow nose drop...he didn't think it would come up so much.
