I finally got a chance to try out my new Canon 70-300 IS L!
For some reason, there were a ton of Sun Country and United 737's running back and forth between AVP and Gulfport, Mississippi today. I couldn't go out for all of them, but I was able to get one Sun Country with the new lens.
The weather today was awful, but I couldn't resist heading out. I'm sure this is the first time a Sun Country has been to AVP, and I don't see them returning in the future!
what do you think of it so far?
I know Sun Country does a lot of vacation charter work, so I wouldn't be surprised if you see them again. I see them coming in to SWF occasionally, mostly during the colder months.

The image quality is excellent. I think it's even sharper than my 70-200 2.8. Even without IS the images are razor sharp--it's definitely worth the price tag.Originally Posted by jerslice
