9/9/12 Spotting by Opportunity - DeKorte Park, Lyndhurst, NJ

The weather was so fine Sunday afternoon. I took my family to DeKorte Park, Lyndhurst, NJ for a walk. It seemed the traffic pattern made planes landing at EWR and JFK flying directly over the park. I took the opportunity to do some plane spotting instead of the original plan of bird spotting.

Oddball F-15 in there haha. Great shots!

Seymour Johnson -15. I got video of the flyover at the US Open.

Did you happen to see the National Airlines 744 at EWR? Saw it fly over Metlife Stadium while I was there.

Thanks, Phil. Caught these F-15E's when they were returning to EWR after the US Open flyover.

I did not see National Airlines 744. We were at the park for only about one hour. I also had to chase my kid some of the time when he got too far away and missed some planes.

Thanks, Manny. I think the light would be good in the morning. Another possibility is to go to the west side of the park for a little more front light. I might do the later the next time when I have a chance to return to the park.

Nice photos. So jealous of the strike eagle sighting. Glad the family went along for the fun.
