    Thanks, Don!

The Donald was in town today to speak at some business convention. I caught him here two years ago for the same convention - it was snowing here that day! This year, the snow isn't due until Monday night...

Insel operates a weekly flight on Saturdays, although times seem to be more of a "suggestion" than a schedule...

Finally! This was the only US special scheme I hadn't shot already. Now it will be here every day...

I'm still not a fan of the new AA colors, but at least they don't look hideous on a 757.

Nice updates! Those 23 arrivals will look smashing from the garage on a clear summer evening. Also, the vantage from the parking garage looks like it needs to be explored with a tripod soon! =)

Moose, as always fantastic stuff! THX for the tip on the team colors Eagles plane. After looking thru my files, turns out I've got it landing at Philly. Shame they are discontinuing the team schemes. It was a cool idea.

Took a quick run to CLT after work this afternoon. They were on the 36s, and I wanted to check out 36R departures from the new hourly parking deck.

A new "signature shot" at CLT...

We had a National Airlines 757 stop in this morning on a NASCAR team charter for this weekend's race in Phoenix. The weather was lousy - 300 foot ceilings according to ATIS, but I had to take a ride out for it.

    Must be new, Senga! ;-)

The sun came out a bit this afternoon, so I took another ride out to CLT.

Big Friend, Little Friend - new AA colors in all sizes and shapes!

Via Air, operated by Charter Air Transport, operates Essential Air Service to Beckley, WV from CLT, with a couple of Embraer E-120s.

You may remember seeing them at FRG in the past, flying gamblers to Atlantic City.

Sorry to tell you this, but it was 72 and sunny today, so I was out at CLT for much of the afternoon, shooting from a few different spots.

Started at the Overview, catching some 36C departures.

I stopped at the old cargo area for a bit to grab a few 36R departures.

Then to the new hourly deck for some more 36R operations.

And a couple of familiar heavies flying overhead.

Not all 36R departures pass in front of the skyline - most are too high - but when they do, it's a cool shot, perhaps the new CLT signature shot.

I got out of the office a little early today, and it was too nice not to head over to CLT.

I started out at the Overview, for some 36C departures.

Then to the cargo area for 36R ops.

Finally, I ended up at the hourly parking deck.

Stayed on the deck until the sun went down...

Moose! You are killing it at CLT. Absolutely love the 330/DHC8 shot. The possibilities at the hourly deck seem endless. I get the feeling though that law enforcement won't like photographers up there once they pick up on how it's becoming a "hangout" spot. Is it worth approaching CLT first about this or just wait around and hope they don't "kick us out?"

Catching up on a few shots from the past couple of weeks...

Two weekends ago, we had one round of the NCAA March Madness tournament in Charlotte, and we had a bunch of biz jets in town. This Gulfstream IV is owned by Salamander Services, who own and operate several luxury hotel/resorts. Salamander is owned by businesswoman Sheila Johnson, co-founder of BET Network.

Falcon Air Express MD-83 brought the local Davidson College team home from Seattle after playing in the NCAA tournament.

    Thanks, Jeremy!

A few from last night. We're getting a DL 757 a few times a week for the next few months.
