Blimp Parade Over New York Thursday 9/6

Four blimps will make their way up the Hudson River Thursday morning, Sept. 6. The parade was originally scheduled for Wednesday but was postponed due to weather.

    DirecTV blimp
    MetLife blimp (Snoopy 1)
    Hood Dairy blimp
Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of NJ blimp

Weather permitting, the parade starts at the Verrazano Bridge at 9 am and ends at the George Washington around 10 am.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

Weather forecast looks perfect for a blimp parade tomorrow morning!

Partly sunny skies, light winds and around 75 degrees.

Any idea of the route once they get past the GWB? I work right on the river at the southernmost point in Yonkers and would be excited to see this during my break tomorrow if they're gonna continue up the river a ways.

I asked the DTV Blimp folks and they said they're not allowed to go past the GWB. Not sure why.

I'm guessing DTV will head to the US Open after the parade, not sure where the other blimps will go.
