Sweet. Been running a ton lately, I just might do this

How can they do this at a major airport? Do they just not let anyone take off or land for an hour?

I understand how they do it at JFK, since they have so much room to spare. But LGA? This should be interesting!

Hey, I have ZERO problems running while jets take off all around me. That's actually a version of Heaven to me!

LGA can run ops on one runway easily but then you need to dodge the jets on the intersection

It is likely a day that they have pier construction planned, so a runway will be closed regardless. They will probably have us turn around short of the intersection and head back to finish off the 3-mile run.

I'm in. I'll be running in boots.

I'm in as well, but I wont be running. More like wandering a few steps before taking a picture, and repeating that process.

Actually Jason you may want to forgo the camera. walking three miles with a camera around your neck may not be so good. I've seen people at the JFK run/walk try and not make it.
It's hard to take chances but sometimes it's better if you do

It depends on their mood. A few years back, when we got to tour the Orbis flying eye hospital DC-10, PAPD did not permit any photography on the ramp - we weren't allowed to take photos of the outside of the airplane, parked off away from everything else on a far corner of the ramp. We were even told not to shoot photos from inside the airplane out the windows. Of course, that didn't stop any of the PA folks who were out with their cameras...

Hmmm. I hope family/friends will be able to take some photos of this thing while the run is happening. To prohibit that would just be...well, ridiculous
