    Frankfurt August 30,2012 (Image Heavy)

I spent a day in Frankfurt last week on my way back to Washington. I declared FRA the worlds best spotter friendly airport. They even have stages built for shooting in strategic locations around the airport closer to the runways. I visited all of them thanks to my flickr friends from FRA spotting group. Here is my first batch and I will update as I process all of them. Enjoy.

    Great collection of aircraft!!!

I don't know if your intent is purely demonstrative or if you're looking for comments/critique, but holy shadow/highlight tool, Batman! These all look like they've been through an HDR-like process or something. A little bit unnatural for my tastes, but man am I jealous of the 748, JAL Eco, and the LX Avro (my favorite plane).

Excellent catches on the British Airways Cargo and the JAL, not to mention the other stuff as well. Images for me are showing up a tad over saturated (but who knows, maybe I may need to re-calibrate my monitor).

No need to re-calibrate monitors, twick shadow or highlights. Four of the images on this batch are not to my taste as well but I'm leaving with it as all images that required wide angle will be the same way. However, it will be fixed once the 7D arrives and my current Pentax retires.

Awesome catches. Funny to see Lufthansa as common as deltas at JFK.

Nice pictures! Especially your Lufthansa A346! (reminds me of Vancouver shots). Hope you liked your visit here in Germany at it's biggest airport.
    Kind regards,
    Sebastian

Nope, MIA gets 767-300s, a 777-200LR (Cargo), and the occasional A318/319/320.

However, AR does send the A430s in the new scheme on occasion, and that is just gorgeous.

    My very first Etihad A346

    My first 737-800 without winglets

They just removed the Euro championship special sticker.

I did not know the 757-300 existed outside of Continental and Delta
