    Air China B744 at JFK

I forgot the final date for the Air China B744 arriving at JFK. I wish to see it one last time. It's sad especially since few of these are still carrying passengers. Asiana recently also discontinued their B744s into JFK. Qantas, El Al, British and sometimes Lufthansa still visit. Did I forget any (besides cargo flights)?

LH and AF have evening 747 service. KLM daily, BW daily, Virgin, daily. El-Al daily, Qantas has returned to JFK with 747s daily. Once in a blue moon, RAM and Kuwait will bring in a 747 :-)

And as mentioned, Delta has about 4 flights a day and Transaero keeps buying old SIA 747s :-) They switch back and forth between 777 and 747 at JFK lately.

China Airlines also flies the 747 to JFK. Air France was flying the 747 into JFK on certain days in August (AF10) but I think they switched to the A340. Last I saw it was on the 31st.

The beehive hummm of the JT9D and GE CF680C2,the thunder of the JT8D-17,the rumble of the PW1830 and the high ,thin whine of the PW 545A are all music to my ears!

Yes indeed, I forgot the Delta and Transaero flights but I did mention QFA, ELY, and DLH. Which airliner is BW that flies a B744? I know BWA but that no longer flies.

BW was supposed to be BA - y'know, that airline with what seems like hourly 747s during the afternoon.

Wow, I may have gotten some of the last Asiana 74 photos then the other day. I'll upload them when I get the chance.

I think the final Air China B744 into JFK will be Sept. 30. I'll try to see it one last time.
