Me-262 @ AAM Labor Day Weekend

is anyone going? i'm 90% sure i'll be in NYC if anyone is there give me a shout... it'll be a rare chance to meet the elusive cancidas!
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

May not rain this time, however Steve's luck still may have a bad run. AAMs Facebook page now saying mechanical issues may cancel the ME-262.

Well that would suck - and it's not like it is really a 70 year old airplane. Driving 10 hours each way to see a B-17 and B-24 - that I've seen before - doesn't sound so appealing...

An update for Labor day ops- The ME-262 may be delayed or unable to attend at last word due to some maintainance issues. Will keep everyone posted. Last word is that the Collings foundation A-1E Skyraider may attend for a portion of the weekend now. So presumably swapping one cool warbird for another.......so it goes when operating airplanes. Still an incredible line up to be seen!

I posted in the Labor Day thread that a source I trust says they are having fuel pump issues, and isn't holding out much hope that the Me will be at FRG. Ironic that the one plane they have that isn't 70 years old is the one causing problems. And I'm sorry, but a Skyraider isn't close to being a substitute for an Me262, reproduction or not.
