Should be quite a show. And there may very well be a Moose sighting around FRG that weekend...

I'm guessing the Me is replica/reproduction, right? Any info on her?

The save 25% buying online link doesn't seem to work(at least for me).

Yes, it is a reproduction, built by The Me262 Project out of Everett, WA. They haven't updated their website in a while (the "Latest Update" link shows 2009 news) but you can learn more here: http://www.stormbirds.com/project/index.html

Here are 2 links with info about the Collings Foundation Me-262:

    http://www.stormbirds.com/project/general/updates.htm

The Collings Foundation is currently doing flight training with their Me-262
and if all goes well hopefully they'll be able to bring her to the AAM in Sept. !!
    Fingers crossed !!

Edit: I see Moose already posted the info while I was looking for the links !! Ha !!

Sorry to be the bearer of potential bad nes but word around the AAM today was that the Collings Foundation Me-262 might not make it in due to mechanical issues. More to follow.

Ironic that the one airplane in their collection that isn't really 70 years old is the one with mechanical problems. I'm hearing it is a fuel pump issue, and it isn't looking good for the Me making it to FRG...

Would attending the show on Friday be the best bet to avoid crowds ?

I don't know that there will be much happening on Friday. The bombers may be in town, I don't know their schedule yet, but the museum is planning their activities (volunteer-wise) for Saturday through Monday. Stuff may be on the ground, but you may not see much flying on Friday.

Thanks, I figured that on Friday they would be just starting to set up for the weekend. Will the museum post a schedule of each days activities ?
